Get paid for recording auto shop work

Shop-based maintenance, repair and detailing is on the program's priority list. A tech records the job from their point of view, the program reviews and approves the recordings, and your shop receives one monthly payment. JobSitePay connects you with the program and explains it on a call. Earnings vary.

The process

How it works

01

Apply in two minutes.

02

We call you and explain exactly how the program works and who runs it. Nothing is signed or recorded before that.

03

Your crew records the work it already does. For example, a phone mounted on a hardhat, aimed at the hands.

04

The program reviews and approves recordings and pays your business once a month. You set the crew shares.

Program estimate
$500–$2,000 per month, per recording employee

This is the program's estimate, not a promise from JobSitePay or anyone else. Earnings vary.

One payment a month goes to your business, not to each worker.
Your business decides how to share it with the crew.
Workers can see their recording hours in an app.

Straight answers for this trade

Does the customer's car or plate end up on video?+
Recordings are first-person video of the hands and the work. What to do about plates, VINs and customer belongings is something to go over on your intro call before any recording starts.
Does a mobile mechanic count?+
The program lists shop-based work as the priority. If your techs work mostly on the road, apply anyway and we will tell you on the call whether it fits.
Who gets the money, the shop or the tech?+
One monthly payment goes to the shop. The shop sets the crew shares. The program's example split is worker 50%, team lead 10%, business 40%, but that is an example, not a rule.
